The Flavour Fellas collectively Hamish Ruia and Max Desoutter are culinary creators with a passion for bold, different globally inspired food. Hamish has formed a love of food from his Indian roots and travel around the world, he developed his skills through his time as a chef at the infamous River Cafe in London. Max is a self taught chef who’s grown up learning how to cook in both English and Sri Lankan kitchens from a young age. Hamish has also played a pivotal role in training him to a restaurant quality standard in the last few years.
Hamish & Max are unique because their passion and friendship shows on your screen, they bring an energy that is authentic and loveable. They blend street-food roots with refined techniques, they create dishes that are out of the box, vibrant and adventurous which is the type of audience they have drawn in over the past 7 months. Every recipe celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients while serving up a modern twist that keeps flavour at the heart of everything and because of this they have worked with some of the most respected brands in the food industry such as Waitrose, Gozney and Maldon Salt to name a few.
The Flavour Fellas are more than just food, they’re about culture. Taking inspiration from fashion and music their brand reflects a creative energy that goes beyond the plate. They highlight that cooking is about the full experience. The visuals, and the personality of the two of them that shape how the flavour of dishes are shared and celebrated.
